There's a wonderful incongruity about Gollum's entry. The red buttonhole matched by the red high heels and supermarket bags. I love it.

That's all very well but what does Ken Rockwell have to say on the matter?

I like this one - it is made all the better by the disapproving lady on the left (bet she is a Daily Mail reader contemplating the disintegration of society )

I'd say 5 or 6 minutes at a time but I'm not really sure, when he comes up his face is like beetroot!
I think there's a H&S issue here!

Maybe he hides his head in a bucket because it looks like a beetroot?

Hi Longun

Yes - he was in Prague's Old Town Square, playing songs like Strangers in the Night and My Way. Sometimes he would sing a few verses too. A real character!

Love the combination of movement and static objects. In fact, I had been planning something similar. So grrrrr to you for getting there first!

I love your entry! There's something very subliminal in it and also quite ubiquitous, but I can't quite put my finger on. Is it because the man is walking from darkness to light and the shadow of the tree is a metaphor for life in light or is it because of the CCTV camera a top of the scene that kind of reminds me that were all under big brother's eye either we hide in darkness or not? It's quite intriguing for me and I think it's top street stuff! Well done!

FujiSigmaNolta - Thanks for the great comments. To be honest, it was one of those lucky shots where everything falls into place. I was walking along with the aim of taking street photos, and saw the shadow of the tree on the wall which I really liked. I just had to wait around for a bit until someone came into frame at the right point. It has something different about it that I can't quite put my finger on.

Others have said it before but I'd like to say it again. The standard of this competition seems to get higher every month, which I think is fantastic. It really helps to push my photography.

Hey Andy, judging by the tartan mix does he belong to clan McAll or clan McEvery.
