Urban landscape locations - kent???
      #805191 - 26/06/2009 15:18

Hi,
I see that no one answered 'CKAJCA' post about fashion location but I am going to ask teh saem questions anyway as I am in Kent (not Somerset)
I'm trying to kick start the hobby side of my photography as well as look for locations to have my own 'trash the dress' shoot taken before getting rid of my dress.
I guess dog walkers are probably the ideal people to ask. I'm looking for graffitied walls (cool ones, not just tagging), nice woods, perhaps some streams or ponds, derelict buildings or sites.
Anything interesting really or nice natural sites like woodland and fields.

Would really appreciate people's suggestions. I've been scanning Google Earth trying to find places but not having much luck.

Many thanks

The Strand has quite a cool muriel along the side and there are som Terns areound for some wildlife shots but the kings north power station across the river offers a nice image at dawn.

Also Hans Egede (Derelict boat) at cliffe around dusk (Go with someone) is amazing and there is an old fort there!

on the page, scroll down and youll see a couple of images from the place including the fort, the boat, the sunset and an image I call "no idea" (It is on the fort).

I would also recommend down by the kingsferry bridge too!

Also darland banks

Hope this all helps?

Have you thought of the Historic Dockyard at Chatham? There are old buildings and three ships you can go on. There's also a 200 year old graffitti wall.

Thanks Guys.
I will look into all of these suggestions. This is a great start and i have recently collected some tourist leaflets that show some good venues which aren't national trust (so hopefully won't want paying!)

I'm Orpington area, so any suggestions nearby, although I am willing to travel for a bit and drag my models along with me
