Apologies if this has already been raised. I've put it in the Camera Chat section in case anyone was thinking of buying a Panasonic. You may be interested in this.
Panasonic Firmware Update

Basically I presume after you've installed it, you won't be able to use non-brand cheap batteries. Only Panasonic's own. I hope this doesn't catch on.
