Hi, Can anyone explain to me (in really simple language) what bracketing is all about. I accidently set it on my camera and some of my photo's say 'AE bracketing 3 frames'.
My camera is a bit too complex for me at present, so apart from 'point and shoot' I'm struggling with lots of it- despite the handbook!
Is bracketing a good thing to be doing/not doing and why? Thanks!
am only just getting the hang of my camera too - still carry the instruction manual around with me everywhere!
Auto Bracketing means that your 3 frames will be 1) at the current set exposure 2) one stop up 3) one stop down
I have a little +1 and -1 that show up in the viewfinder to tell me whats happening. You can set it for different amounts ie 2 stops etc
I have had some fun with it as it does have a marked effect - but I kept forgetting it was on and wondering what was happening lol. I have also learned how to set the exposure to +1 and this was really helpful yesterday when I was shooting in shadows.
I think thats right anyway - hopefully somebody will put me right if not?
Thanks! I thought nobody knew as lots had read my post and not replied! Your explanation helps- thanks! Hope your modules are going okay. 2 weeks in on the 1st module and I only have 2 photo's out of the 5 yet! Could be a long module!
