Hi guys. Trying to download pics onto flickr. Does it take a long time as its testing my patience and my laptop will soon be heading out of the window!!! Cheers.

Hi Kathryn,

Do you mean 'upload' as in your are trying to put photos on to Flickr?

Download would mean taking photos from Flickr on to your computer.

If upload, which way are you trying? Using Flickr upload tool or via the flickr website?

Whichever way your doing it, the speed will be down to the internet connection you have.

Depends how big your pics are? I generally resize the pictures to no more than 1000 pixels (along the longest size) or 600 pixels if you want to upload them to this website.
If using Adobe Elements or even the software that came with your camera you should be able to resize the pictures. If not you can download free software from here .

I'm using a flickr uploading tool, just need a little patience i think, ho hum, don't have much of that.lol. Thanks for reply

If you're trying to upload a batch of images I've found that it can become a pain, I now upload one at a time, which to me is far faster, as well as less frustrating

FWIW,basic editing can also be done in flickr by going to the picnic option.

FWIW I find that uploading to Flickr sometimes crashes and it's easier to close down and start again
