True, that's why there are no Canon's on the list, they're still in the shop. Afterall, it's hard to open doors with your arms laden with booty in golden boxes.

The police are looking for the get-away vehicle....a slow moving lowloader with a "wide load" escort...

Something wrong with their security checks to be taken for that lot.... also strange that there was not a lot of supporting kit on the list. It is unusual not to update some of the other kit when you make such a major purchase.

Sounds like a sales man was blinded by the size of the order and commission,,,

Definately know what they wanted. But strange that no canons were stolen........obviously they have a good eye for a good camera.
But why not some badass telephotos to go with.

.. a shop in the Vancouver suburbs got broken into on early Friday (June 12th) morning
and were taken for about $50,000 CDN but no idea how it breaks down, manufacturer
wise.

Some years ago, I thwarted a break-in attempt at the old store (D&R) ... it after work and
I was on the computer --- AP, if memory serves -- and I heard a noise ...and didn't know
it was ... heard some noise from the back hallway ... I turned on the light and heard people
running (and should have waited for 10 seconds and then turned off the light again ... because
there were about 15 (very steep) stair and about a 25 foot drop to a concrete floor and I can, almost,
guarantee there would have been a few broken legs or legs after the fall .. but I didn't )

But, oh boy, I was definitely waiting for the next time .........but it no luck .... it has never occurred
again

Cheers,

Jack

D'you know what? I just woke up and can't think of a single thing to say to further the Nikon bashing from the Canon users.

I feel like I have shamed myself.

Now look, I've only got 5 D3X's left for sale on eBay so bid now - £995 each on a Buy it Now. (Any police officers reading in, it's a joke right! )

All this manu bashing on the thread....I just don't understand it myself, I'm a Nikon user of many years myself and have loyalty to Nikon purely over the system itself and how good it is and how most lenses will work on an FTn or a D3X.

But as loyal as I am to Nikon it would never, ever stop me from buying another brand of camera.

Now you all know that Olympus make the best cameras this side of the Universe so stop this Saturday morning silliness but, if I were to buy into one of the big two, it would be Nikon. They somehow have more flair than Canon whom they seem to have shoved off the top table. Sorry Canon - you're fired! (pun intended).

No, these were discerning thieves alright.
