Hi all
The May round has now been judged. You will find the results here
Thanks to everyone that entered - and even to those who intended to enter but didn't quite get round to it.

I'll be one of the latter group then.
A worthy winner this month, I certinly thought that it would be a strong contender from the first time I saw it posted, not least because it fulfills the brief.
I also liked Turbulentwheat's shot too. Although I thought it didn;t really meet the brief, it has real impact.
Well done to all three winners.

*ahem* One brief ... We feel depth because we can tell some things are closer than others. Our eyes understand perspective, so well we hardly think about it anymore, but that only makes it harder when we want to show depth in our pictures. For this round create a photograph with a beginning, a middle and an end. Shoot through a window, but show the frame – look through an open door, between the trees, beyond the pedestrians and use them to demonstrate the fact our world is in 3D.
That's why I liked the winning shot, it met the brief. Obviously the man was looking through the window, but so were we. There was a 3D feel to it, a beginning, a middle and an end.
I must say, I have thought on occassions that the 'brief' isn't heeded much, certainly by entrants, but also sometimes by the judge.
Anyway, like I said, I like TW's shot.
