Last night was the final of my local pub's Karaoke Competition. £1000 for the winner. As with all the previous rounds, I had been photographing the contestants, usually with kit lens on my A350, using flash.
However, last night decided to try out my new Sigma 24-70 F2.8 on the A350, with the kit lens on the A100 for the flash shots.
Everything was going fine until an error code appeared on my A100: "CAMERA ERROR CODE = 0x31"
What this meant was that the flash didn't fire.
To make matters worse, I was running low on battery power on my A350 (about 18%), so didn't really want to switch lens.
Luckily, all I had left to do was the presentations. But it was frustrating.
The camera is still under warranty, but it's the 2nd time in the last 9 months I've had to send my A100 back for repair.
Has anyone else had a similar problem (on any alpha)?

Have an A200 myself, and have taken nearly 3000 shots and so far all is good. Only problem I have had was some sort of Blemish/muck on the sensor which was dealt with under guarantee by Park Cameras, quickly and efficiently, together with a letter of apology from Sony. They fitted a new sensor. Hope your problem is dealt with efficiently too.

It's gone to the same company that repaired the camera last year (different fault). That time, the camera was returned within the week.
