PS CS3 Crashes in Preferences-Performance
      #796640 - 30/05/2009 17:14

When I click edit - preferences - performance, I get a pale screen, and a crash. Have to close photshop.

Running vista premium 64 bit, 8 gb of ram, 3 hd, plenty of storage.
I have reduced fonts to open and a coupke of raster, deleted the cach and subsidany directories.
tried to reset prefernces on start up, to no availe.
I had the same problem with vista premium 32 bit, though I canot remember if I had it on XP.
Any ideas would be most helpful

I had a problem with the trial version of CS4 - opening Bridge it just went crazy and restarted the computer. Nerve wracking. I decided to restore the computer's system to a point two weeks ago and it seems to work okay now.

Solved the problem by disabling Windows Aero
