Word on the web is Olympus will announce their MFT camera on the 15th of June. We'll wait and see what they chosen to do.

I hope so, and I also hope that it delivers its potential and at a reasonable price. That's a lot of hoping!

I am getting a series of "count down" emails from Oly so I am pretty certain that the 15th June is the date.
Rumours I hear are that there will be two releases, one in June and the "professional" one in December. What worries me is that everybody has very high hopes for mFT and if ALL those expectations are not met in the first release there could be a lot of disappointment. One thing that does seem certain is that we have already seen the minaturised IS developed for it and shoehorned into the 620

Personally I would just want something that realises the potential. If it is built down to a price it will not be worth buying. I also hope that the prime lenses are up to scratch. This kit could be good, very good. Done well it could be worth the same cost, adjusted for inflation, of a Leica lllG in its heyday.

Oh dear, glass half empty again eh? 'Reasonable' doesn't mean 'cheap'.

I must say, I'm getting quite excited! Looks like I'll have to shift some kit before it comes out though, since my D3 my photographic credit score with SWMBO is at an all time low.
