I've got one and it's a decent lens but I wouldn't point one at a police officer. Well only if I was suicidal. Great pics Jack

Thanks Frank and, I daresay, the Photo-Sniper is one of my sharpest lenses and whilst I have never pointed it any police (recently) I was definitely getting some attention at the Wildlife Sanctuary Also, me thinks, it might be interesting taking the Photo-Sniper as carry on
luggage at the airport:

Hi Jack, the old Zenit photosniper I remember it well. I never had one mind you as I've never been much of a telephoto man myself but I thought they were cool looking. I did have the Zenit E though that went on the end of it originally.

I wouldn't bring one into the UK however or you'll get more than a broken arm !

But wouldn't it be good if some company came up with a MODERN version of the photosniper based around a MODERN DSLR with all the "mod cons" the sniper didn't have!
(like auto-everything - IIRC, the sniper had "auto-nothing at all"!)

Hi John,

Good to see back in the forums again (here and DePravedReview) and I picked this up
several years ago and hadn't used it for about several years and took it out on
Sunday (May 2) and hopefully will use more from now on .... barring any airline travel

As for the police, I think this coming Saturday has potential. There is, potentially, big hockey playoff
game, allegedly rain free weather and, if Vancouver wins, plenty of excited hockey fans (and police)
on the streets which means, of course, plenty of potential photo-ops ........ So,
stay tuned for posts I make this coming Sunday

Cheers and Hi to Diane

Jack

Hello J_A01,

That would be easier and nice(er?) but only if it were optically
as sharp as the old (like mine) Photo-Sniper .... and I am amazed how
sharp the images are ... considering I had to manual focus and my eyesight
is pretty crap

Cheers,

Jack
