Pardon my ignorance but...
      #757151 - 04/02/2009 21:37

On a local craigslist ad, was an old(?) Contax 35mm SLR. Not having known them that much, I went googling, and then looking around on eBay to see what interesting things might be there.

I like the T3, but why in god's name is is 800$?? It is, correct me if I am wrong, a point and shoot 35mm camera, what justifies this kind of price tag?

Rise up, the forsaken and dethroned
A legion wronged, to claw the clouds

It's a high-end compact (plus you're paying a bit for the name no doubt). See here for manufacturer's blurb, which I'm amazed is still up, seeing as they abandoned the camera world a few years ago now. Another orphan page I guess (sigh).

I had one of these but the winding mechanism packed up. It ended up on the tip. If you want a miniature 35mm film camera I'd recommend the Rollei 35S, same Sonnar (hence the S) lens and shutter and much more robust.
