The Polaroid Pogo is easy. I went from ‘opening the box’ to ‘holding a print’ in under 10 minutes. The prints are 3”x2” sticky-back and this adds to the sense of “fun”.
A minor gripe is the website’s claim that because there’s no ink there’s no waste – except the backing paper, which makes the eco-credentials a little less certain. Also I had to test with an N95 as my LG Viewty isn’t combatible.
In true Polaroid fashion the finished print was in my hand in under 1 minute and the Bluetooth phone connection was closed in under 30 seconds – freeing the phone up quickly. With a pack of paper costing around £9 for 30 sheets I can imaging taking this to a party or two before the novelty wears off.
This little printer won’t be a landmark in photography but it is fun.
Good Points • Easy to use • Solid construction • Bluetooth and Pictbridge USB connections Bad Points • Even some very modern phones aren’t compatible • A bit of a novelty
