All, haven't been to Liverpool in years and will be there for a conference 23 / 24 Oct. Staying at the Jury's Inn hotel which is near the docks. Wouldn't mind grabbing a couple of twilight shots of the river / docks / liver building...as I'll be very very short on time to explore first, can anyone point me towards any decent vantage points?

Across the river from the Birkenhead side?
I got some super shots of the Liverpool waterfront from the ferry returning to the Liverpool side, but for twilight shots I guess you may need a firmer base than I had.

Try the Belfast or Dublin ferries (Norfolkline) which dock just opposite the Liver Building. Nice steady platforms. Unfortunately the excursion is long and fairly expensive
