Hello all.
Tonight I am shooting some bands live. Just wondering any tips?
Im using a Canon 300d with 1GB & 256mb Cards with a Canon 18-55mm and Sigma 70-300mm Lens/es.

Hope the shoot went well Matt. I don't think that many people pop into this forum whihc would probably explain why you got no responses.

I hope it went well, too, and agree we'd like to see some results.
In future, I'd suggest upping the ASA setting to the max setting, set to spot metering (which I imagine is an option on the 300d), zoom in close and take lots of shots - including some with spotlights hidden just behind the musician or shining straight into your lens; these can be either stunning or disastrous, but always worth a try!

Matt,
Sorry for the belated reply. This is what I do.
Shoot RAW
ASA 800 or more (noise permitting)
As fast a lens as possible (that they will let you in with)
Spot meter
Normal set-up - ASA800, lens set at f4 (or faster) handheld at 1/60th second
Shoot when the lights come on
Oh and NEVER use flash
