After waiting all morning for the postie to arrive he's just been (and so have I - Erm will know what I mean lol). I now have a lovely 45 CL-4 Ni-Cad to play with
Typical isn't it, the batteries on my camera are flat so I've just had to charge them both so I can't have a go out of the box so to speak.
Anyways I'm going to test it over the next few days to remind myself what a proper flash feels like to use. Just need to find some willing victims.
The very nice folk at Ffordes also threw in a normal battery holder so I can use AA cells in case the Ni-Cads run out.

I used that gun when I was a wedding tog, just used the auto apertures 2 stops under for a blip of fill-in. Also added a micro apollo soft box to soften the light.

Welcome back Rhys
Welcome back? Never been away
Have read about using it 2 stops different for fill in - will be having a play later with different settings.. Got a sto-fen diffuser ordered anyway
Biggest problem I have now is not loosing my sync socket cap - there isn't anywhere to fasten it on a D1x like there is on a D2x (bit like having a dark slide holder on a Hasselblad film back - with the earlier ones you needed a shirt pocket )
