Hello, I am in the USA. I have a Canon S3 I have the 58mm thread converter LA-DC58B I use Martin Microscope adapters to for WILD M8 microscope photography.
I do remote shooting with my DELL laptop and Canon software I use the microscope optics for the focussing (S3 autofocus is locked) I want to take a similar approach on the copystand.
My concept is to substitute Canon FTb camera lenses for the microscope. I will have manual control of focus and diaphragm.
The question is how to mount Canon FTb camera lenses onto the 58mm converter filter thread
Is there a 58mm thread to Canon FT lens adaptor? any suggestions, please

A combination of two adapters maybe... First, an adapter to revearse mount a Canon lens to the body of the Canon camera. This will have a Male thread on it. Then an adapter ring ,Female to female [ Used to join two lenses together for macro] 52mm-58mm. Hope this works out for you. Other Forum members may have simpler ways, other than this.

sorry,...got the adapters right, but ignore comment about 2nd one used for joining together for macro... that would be a male-male not female-female.

Errr, No you didn't!
What you described would just allow a lens to be reverse mounted onto an FL/FD mount body.
As I understand it, the aim is to mount an FL/FD mount lens the right way round onto the LA-DC58 adapter.
I doubt you'd find anyone who would stock such an adapter. No doubt someone like SRB could produce one for you, but it wouldn't be cheap!
I would suggest getting hold of a cheap FD fit teleconverter and a 58mm Cokin "A" series adapter ring, (The Cokin rings are considerably stronger than most filter stepping rings)
Remove the bayonet mount from the front of the teleconverter (three or four screws depending on the brand). Once removed, attach it to the Cokin adapter ring. You should be able to drill the Cokin ring and use the original screws from the teleconverter to fix the two together, otherwise use an epoxy adhesive such as Araldite.
A mount from a scrap body, rather than a T/C, could be used.... but.... the rear flange isn't circular and would leave gaps which would obviously need to be filled.

OOOPS...to have the FTb lens as the "Objective"? lens instead of the microscope, I stand corrected. [The last adapted microscope that I saw, was with the eyepiece removed, and a camera body fitted in place of. similar to what I originaly discribed.]

Thank you both -- I am reading and taking notes. Thanks for rephrasing my problem in simplest terms.
As you wrote -- the aim is to mount an FL/FD mount lens the right way round onto the LA-DC58 adapter.
Am very open to hearing more on this
