Hi
I was thinking of buying a canon L 1.4 extender to use on 40D..100-400 L IS Lens, now i read AF wont work, is this, it wont work at all, or just when light is falling lower than F5.6. or is it mainly when reaching the 400mm zoom end perhaps, any advice please,

recently i am sure this was discussed on these forums, think the thread was titled "should i have exoected this" but i cant find it
however does this help answer your question, apologies if you have already seen this extenders
