There's a few samples taken at the launch day at Canon's UK HQ, Reigate here.
I'm not going to comment as it's not my style, but I'm sure those doing weddings will know what they want.

I'm looking at the shots on my laptop at the minute so it's probably not the best tool for judging them but even so I'm suitably impressed by the camera's high iso performance. Incredible!

The lack of noise at ISO 1600 is impressive but unfortunately the detail has gone with the noise ...

They do look very soft.
A friend of mine is a part time model (and simply stunning) and she sent me some shots from her portfolio. Of course the first thing I did was zoom in on the shot and then read the exif data. They were all very soft but she thought they were fantastic.
Maybe just goes to show I suppose that us lot here and other people, customers included, may want / expect different things and I can imagine people thinking that these shots are stunning.

True, but nevertheless very usable for what it is. I'm not sure that my 5D (Mk I) would do any better. Maybe it could do with a little USM to bring the veil up.

With noise reduction suppression that heavy many cameras could turn out similar results at high ISO.

Phil Askey has now published samples from the beta version he's been previewing here.
In addition to the familiar shots of London, they include one still-life shot at 25,600 ISO.

Looks good at 6400. 12800 and 25600 look fairly noisy, but then again I didn't expect it to be better.

And if you run a Fourier transform on the data from the veil area it's quite apparent that almost all the visible "detail" is in fact imaging artifact. Unfortunately what can't be determined is whether the artifacts are present in the camera raw data or whether they have been generated in the jpeg conversion.

It's a way of processing data to extract frequency data. For full information I'd respectfully refer you to "The Handbook of Astronomical Image Processing" by Richard Berry & James Burnell chapters 17 "Images in Frequency Space" and 18 "Wavelets".

Thanks Marvin but I think I'll give it a miss. Sounds a bit heavy for me.
