Any students that would like to include a self addressed postcard in their module submission, leaving a blank line for the date work is recieved, I will be happy to send it back in the post to confirm we have recieved your coursework

Seeing as we are in the world of the internet and email, would it be just as easy for you to drop a quick email stating this? Seems quicker and less on cost on paper and postage?

Just a thought.

Hi Al,
I would like to agree, but if you think practically, I reckon the s.a.e is the simplest and quikest way to respond to lots of different people. Also remember not everyone has internet/email access

Hi Alan

The e mail route does sound easier, but as someone who has used both methods (not for SPI courses) for informing students of receipt of modules etc the post card is the quickest for the administrator.

An example is:

1 Take card from envelope.
2 write date.
3 Post.

Or

1 Open envelope.
2 Look up students name in e mail list.
3 start new e mail.
4 Write or paste contents of e mail.
5 Check module number.
6 Send.
7 Save e mail.
8 Receive e mails back from students thanking you for reply.

I even tried pre-writing the e mails but you then have say 100 students times 10 modules equals 1000 e mails to file and sort.

I like the post card

Les
