Problem with ixus i zoom
      #704558 - 10/09/2008 17:11

Hi - hope someone can help. I thought I needed a new battery pack and am waiting for it to arrive. Have just tried to use the camera hoping there was sufficient juice in it for one photograph. Looking at the image I want to capture it is only visible as a diagonal band across the screen, the remainder is black. Does this sound like a problem with the camera itself or might the problem be resolved with a new battery pack? Thanks.

Without doubt, it's that the lens cap hasn't opened correctly. That may be solved with a fresh battery, or it may be a separate fault.
