Olympus Lens adaptors
      #688953 - 09/08/2008 15:39

Hi Folks,
I am looking for a Olympus lens adaptor to Nikon Fit.
I have from my film days a Cosina 19mm-35mm Nikon fit lens.
I have looked for on the Web an adaptor. And I did find one the other day marked up at around £19-£20. I am blowed if I can find it again .
I have found the adaptor at £89-00, but did not want to shell out at that price if it does not work. has anyone come across the site that sells adaptors at the £19-£20 price if so could you let me know. I have searched for hours. I am shortly to go on a Landscape holidays with Andalucian holidays and woulD find the wide angle lens.
very useful.
Kind regards
Alphonso

The Cosina 19-35 is more than likely not as wide as the lens that came with your camera, what have you got 14-42, 14-45, 14-54 or 17.5-4?

In any case ebay is probably your best bet apart from that try http://www.enjoyyourcamera.com/Olympus-Accessories:::7.html

Something like this?

There will be plenty more if you miss that one. I note the feedback is less than perfect, but I suppose it's not much to gamble with. Iloca's right though, you probably have a wider lens already with your Olympus.

The ebay adaptors are OK, I have M42, Minolta and Olympus ones and all work OK, not superb quality but quite adequate for occasional use.

You may be disappointed with the results though - your kit lens will probably give better results.

The lenses I found to work well are good quality primes, Takamur f1.4mm, Tamron macro, Zuiiko etc.

Iloca
many thanks for your prompt reply. ..I agree with you, so i don't think I will use that lens. When i think about it. My old Nikon 801s, is a full frame camera.
thats why it looks a wider lens,on the camera, than the lenses that I have. BTW My Camera gear is Olympus E-500 with two pro lenses. The 14mm-54mm& 50mm-200mm. Which I find to be very good indeed. I see that Olympus have a new wide angle lens, I think it is 9mm-18mm That would be just the job . But they say it will not be out until September. Our Holiday starts on the 14th. So there may be time to buy that one. I looked at that web page it is very good.
Thank you
Alphonso
