HP photo paper
      #686769 - 05/08/2008 07:47

I purchased a pack of HP 10 x 15cm photo paper the other day. When I came to use it I found that it has perforated tags on one end. What's this all about? It was a bloody nuisance having to trim all the prints this morning.

Thanks in anticipation, Andrew

HP make the paper either with or without these tags. It is to allow for printers that can't do a borderless print on a standard 10 x 15 sheet - the tag makes the paper a bit oversize and gives the printer that bit of extra length it needs. If you've torn the strips off prior to printing and have successfully produced borderless prints, then next time buy the paper that doesn't have them.

Thanks very much John, I guess there was some reason why it was so cheap in Tesco! Good quality though so I'll just trim them post printing.

Best wishes, Andrew
