How precise do we need to be about focal length? I've a photo I recently took on my Samsung GX-10 so the bit in the guidelines that applies to me is:
APS-C sensor -------- between 28-35mm
But the image in question is showing that I used a focal length of 38mm. Does this mean I'll have to enter something else?

It's only a guide John - nothing is set in stone in the monthly competitions

You could always crop it slightly if you are worried?

Thought of that, but it's the wrong way round - the image is, technically, already a bit telephoto, so cropping only makes it worse. Anyway, I've posted it now... it's not only the focal length that might be questioned - the picture is 'urban landscape' rather than the traditional kind and so might be considered to not meet the competition's intent. Who knows?

Why not? 'Urban landscape' is in the brief

Ha me too my 56 mm shot may be outside those parameters. I miss read it conveniently as not wide angle not telephoto. Oh well I'll wait and see what happens.

It could be worse, last month I read it as Bin and Scones! I spent hours by the Brabantia with Greggs finest! Need to look closer in future!

Does that mean 18mm landscape shots will be allowed as i've used my standard 18-70mm lens?
