WTF? Another solution for a problem that doesn't exist!

Eat less calories, do more exercise. You don't need a software solution to tell you that!

What the hell do they mean by "non-food items"?

So far I've managed to avoid eating the plate, fork, knife, spoon etc. so I don't think I need a computer to help me spot that they aren't food.........

(......been a close call on the plates when I'm really going for it though.... )

If they could get the accuracy to the necessary levels I could see that diabetics could find it useful. Knowing the amount of carbohydrate in a meal is essential for getting the insulin dose right.

I think you're crediting the concept with far more ability than would be possible for decades. All this does is compare and image with a databse and then label, so it would say 'fried egg' or 'lamb chop'. There's no way it could break that down for an accurate nutritional break down of the food. Any diebetic would be far better off keepng a written food diary than relying on this software.
