Question about Photobox
      #681239 - 21/07/2008 15:16

Do all Photobox prints come with a white border all the way round? Can you not get them without? I can't see an option anywhere.

From the Home Page, click on Standard and Enlargement Prints, then Standard Prints and the following text appears:-

We offer three standard print sizes: 6”x4”, 6”x4½” and 5”x3¾“. All of these are available in either a gloss or matt finish, with or without a border. Standard prints are usually posted out the same day, if ordered before 4pm Monday to Friday. They’re all the same price, so simply take your pick to suit your needs.

From this you will see that you can have your prints with or without borders.

Why do people with expensive cameras say you don't need one to take good photographs

I think the default option with Photobox is without borders. Certainly all the prints, of various sizes from 6x4" to 20x30", that I've had from them over the last 2 years have been like this, and I don't remember ever specifying it anywhere.

The only place where I can see anything about borders is where it says Gloss, Matt, Gloss border or Matt border and I always have it withough border. The only other thing I can think of is that I check shrink to fit on all of them (just incase any go over 6 inches in length, then none will be cut off.) But they should still come without a border, shouldn't they?

In my preferences, I have it as gloss, with no border.
