If anybody is interested the E420 + pancake lens is now in stock at Dixons for £439.19 plus £4.95 delivery. I am seriously thinking about getting one for my wife (no doubt I will be allowed to borrow it! )
They also have the body + 17.5-45 lens and for that kit a discount code (E420SEKIT) will get you £30 off.

I was looking at the E-420 + 14-42 on ebay for £289. Two of my mates got E-510 twin lens kits from the same seller.
The same seller also has Refurb E-410 + 14-42 kits at £199.

Now you have got me all confused - I was on the verge of ordering the 420 + pancake as I did not think that we needed a second 14-42 but at that price I could almost order the pancake separately and get the kit lens nearly free. Still it's not quite free and it would have only the international guarantee so I shall have to wonder for a few more days.
If you find anyone offering the 420 + pancake on ebay please let me know. Thanks

But why would you want to buy from Dixons when better deals are available elsewhere?

Call me stupid if you want but Dixons is the best deal I found (that claimed to have stock) - do you know of a better?

Dunno if it's better, but I always check gear at this site:
camerapricebuster.com
The link goes directly to the E-420 page

Thanks for the link Fen, and I will use it in future, but the best deal it pointed me to was Jessops and I rang their York store on Friday and was told that there was no stock anywhere in the company.
Perhaps I should just wait a few weeks.
