Does anyone fancy a meet at Pensthorpe, Norfolk, (Nr.Fakenham) for their Mediaeval Spectacular 23-25 August?
It's a great event full of photo opportunity & displays of people reinacting mediaeval life and skills, plus there is a great beer tent full of cask conditioned ale. This is where BBC Springwatch was held this year and there is lots more to do and see if you get tired of sipping ale and watching archers missing the target lol
There are some hotels/ b&b's locally in Fakenham for those who can't do the trip in a day.

Pensthorpe is an excellent site, worth a visit even without the Mediaeval Shenanigans. I'll try to make it on one day, probably take the campervan to Fakenham or Wells for the whole weekend

If we are not in the middle of our final move (to the new house), I would love to come. It is quite close to Hingham.

Just a reminder that this event is being staged the weekend after next. I'll be there either on the Saturday or Sunday dictated by the weather, as always.

I have just phoned the organisers for info:
Family ticket 2 adults + 2 children over 4 is £19.50
Adults: £7.50
Seniors: £6.00
Parking is free.
Event runs from 10.00am to 5.00pm Sat, Sunday & Monday.
My wife and I will be going, but will pick the day depending on the weather.
