White background question

I keep seeing pictures on the Tinterent such as iStock of specifically people that are against a totally white background, How is this achieved please ????

Lassoo the person & flood the background with white. In photoshop, of course, not on the set!

Shoot them in front of a white background. Set up the lights correctly so the background is about +1 stop and take the photos

A good starter might be doing a web search for "High Key" and photography

Just to add to Fen's reply, you have to make sure that your subject is at least 8-10 feet from the background to avoid getting a halo effect from the reflected light off the background.

If you need the lower parts of the body in, feet and legs, you will need a background carrier so you can curve the background into the floorground to avoid the transition between floor and wall. An alternative to using reflected light is to backlight but this is difficult if the floor is in frame.
