I'm John, a new starter to the course, hope to get some help here and maybe have some fun on the way. I have a question about the entry of the modules, in the book it says
"Images should be of maximum A4 size at 300 ppi (dpi) and saved as maximum quality jPEG files" (page 9)
Does this mean I need to reduce the dpi of my pictures as they are 600 x 600 dpi. and does this not reduce the quality.
Any help only i am confused?

Hi John
I have just started on the course as well. I am just interested in learning how to use my camera properly :-)
I am guessing that the max size and resolution is a file size contraint, so you will need to reduce the quality.
Cheers

Hi John, and welcome, I wouldn't worry too much about loss of quality, 300 dpi is the usual print quality for a high class print, and at A4 wouldn't make any appreciable difference anyway. Enjoy the course, i am, and lets see some of your work

That's 300 pixels per inch so unless your images are just 2"x2" your image is much bigger than 600x600 pixels. An image that is 600x600 would be really quite small - sort of size you get on ebay. An A4 300ppi image is 2480 pixels by 3508 pixels for instance - quite a bit more than 600x600.
