100-400 IS
      #669745 - 22/06/2008 17:25

Hi

I've loaned a friends 100-400 lens for the F1 testing at Silverstone on Tuesday. Having not used the lens before can anyone tell me the difference between the two IS modes - in particular for panning is one more suitable than the other or am I better with IS swithed off?

Thanks

Steve

You want mode 2 for panning - image stabilised in vertical plane only. Mode 1 is stabilised in both horizontal & vertical planes.
