If I still did film, that would be my first choice for an SLR with a Leica MP ranking alongside.

Practically bang up to date in fact - introduced in 2001 and only discontinued in 2006. Film SLRs don't get much less old than that!

indeed it is a new camera..and i beauty i feel, thanks for all the comments. i have taken a brain storm for film , i also fancy myself a voigtlander rangefinder too, dont get me wrong i love my d2x and all my nikon gear...but the thought of getting back to basics, sounds like a lot of fun to me.
after reading these post ,i know im doing the right thing, thanks guys

FM3a's are awesome cameras! I would love one myself, thought they were about £200 s/h now? Has that come right down then?
