I have just visited 'buyepson.com' for a new photo black ink cart for my pro3800. when I last ordered one a few weeks ago it was £35 ish with free delivery. Now they are asking £42.50. Do they attract sales of the printer based on claims of cheaper ink from larger carts, then hike the price 20% when they have a captive bunch of users worldwide? Seems a bit like that to me.
Well, they have lost my custom, I went to 'Cartridgesave.com' and got them for £35 including VAT and delivery.

It's very nice buying and using the latest Epson printer (I've been there once or twice) but keeping to an older but still functioning model means that I can take advantage of the cheap (sometimes, very cheap) prices I find in the bins at Jessops, Staples etc.

Problem is, I need A2 for business, so I am hooked. My gripe is with a 20% hike, not the printer itself. I cannot see the justification.

I kinda sell these for a living and my cost from a distributor is £26.00 plus vat. It is common knowledge that they will reel you in with a bargain on the printer and then make their money out of the carts themselves. HP Even sell their printers at a loss knowing they'll make loadsa cash on the toners!
Sickening that original carts are so expensive really!
