Yet another introduction
      #662528 - 04/06/2008 09:49

Hi everyone,

My name is Jen and I live in Wigan. I've got a degree in TV and Film Production but since leaving uni 4 years ago I really haven't done anything with my qualification. I really only took the course because I enjoyed it, not because I wanted a career in it. Now times getting on and I have realised that I do want a creative career and I think that photography is the way to go, so thats why I'm here. I've got a Canon 400D and I absolutley love it, I've not had it long but I do try and go out every weekend to see what I can capture and learn more about using it. I can't wait to hand in my first assignment, it should be ready soon...hopefully

I'm looking forward to meeting you all

Jen

Hi Jen,

Welcome to the course. We're quite a friendly bunch here and we'll chip in and help if we can.

Good luck with the course.

Hi Jen,

Welcome! As Christine said, there are a few of us starting at this time, so it's great to have another on board!

I also have a 400D. What lens are you using out of interest?

I have just completed Mod 1, just need to do the critique, which I must do before Friday as I set this as my deadline.

Looking forward to seeing your shots.

Thanx for the replies guys

I'm looking forward to seeing all your photos and gettin feedback from you about mine. I'll get them on my flickr account as soon as the're done. I think youve got the right idea there Alan, I think making deadlines for myself may be the way forward as I do tend to procrastinate.

I'm using the standard 18-55mm lense, which I've found in a few cases is quite limiting, but I am hoping to get one with a much better zoom soon.

Thanx again for the warm welcome,

Jen

Thanx for the link...looking at some of the photos on here makes this all a little daunting :S Hopefully mine will turn out well and will be up there along side all of yours soon. I'll let you know when I've finished the module Graham so it can be sorted out. Thanx again for the help

Jen

Hi Jen,

Welcome to the course!
I enrolled back in December 2007 but have not been able to start the course as yet, although I plan to start module one very soon.

I also use a 400D with the Canon 17-85mm lens as my main lens. I bought this lens as it was recommended to me by my Dad who used one with his 300D, before upgrading to a 40D.

Anyway, look forward to seeing some of your photos. Enjoy the course.

Caline
