And very nice it is too Zou , I like it a lot and it can be added to my favorites list above

Can't see any pollen though... just a close up of a Arum lily... Or am I missing something?

*confused*

Love 'the swirl'. Also, footloose that's an amazing shot with the tiny humming bird atop the flower

Er, Fen, the grain should make you *think* of pollen.

Photography as art isn't that hard...

I'm not really a huge fan of flower pics, but I've been really amazed with this lot. So many images I'd consider putting on the wall. "Well done us!" I say.

For me 'My Mom's Frangipani' just steals it - I love the subdued colours and the lovely composition, but there a dozen that could win.

...I would probably go square format on that one though, on second look.Nevertheless, great shot!

And yes, plenty of great shots. I think RustyKnight's "Enough to make a grown man cry" is really eye catching. Everytime I go through the pics, his photo really stands out.
Perhaps because in my mind I expect to see a sweet little girl picking yellow flowers in a field, instead I get a big beardy bloke . He seems just as touched by it all though . That and the composition,colour...pretty good!

Many thanks Tanya, glad you like the pic.

You been watching 'Alien' on the telly again? I can see the 'fingers' from your Pod photo coming out of the screen at me. Amazing feel to it for a still subject. Lisa.

PS for more shock & horror, here's the link to my 'I hate b&w' post SPI mod 9 b&w

.... ....I deleted my entry from Flickr in a mad fit of 'tidy up' mood
I have replaced it though, sorry about that. Perhaps a MOD could delete my blank entry please and hush my embarrassment. I hope you like the replacement, it is as close to the original as I could get. (Beech trees entwined). Good luck, everyone. A tough competition once more.

Would've been much easier if you'd sent the new URL to us!

But not to worry...
