Just a quick note to let y'all know we have a new moderator on the forum; Andy/daft_biker.
You all know him for his excellent insect images, and his relentless cycling exploits in all weathers and terrains, well now he represents the younger end of the AP/WDC community demographic - as well as those North of the border (in keeping with latest government targets ).
Anyhoo, he's kindly consented to help maintain harmony on the forum (the fool), and we hope you'll all welcome him in his new role. But, as ever, he remains, first and foremost, a valued member of the forum, as do you all.

Congratulations from me. Good luck Andy.
That does beg the question 'what's happened to Mr. Lizard?' I assume he's OK and has left for his own reasons. I trust he isn't ill or anything of that nature?

Unfortunately, David, your guess is as good as ours...
However, the process of inviting a new mod began before LL disappeared - but it could mean, if he doesn't surface, we may need to recruit another madman/madwoman for the Mod Squad!

Oh dear. I was hoping that he may have informed you. It only occurred to me recently that he hasn't been around since that brief flurry of posts on his return from Cuba. His sudden disappearance is slightly concerning considering how often he posted on the forum. I do hope he's alright.

I don't think there's a cause for concern, per se. We have heard, via third parties, that he is 'OK', it's just he hasn't responded to any direct contact. Whether there's any underlying personal/technical issue, or he's just taking a break, we don't know.

Sorry fellow forumites, I just had a thought - is a forum moderator just the same as a PCSO? Only a virtual and perceived power?
Moderator: No, it isn't. We can do real, important stuff, like this. :-)

Congrats Andy, hope the power doesn't go to your head You do realise you are one of them now..
I'm a mod on another site (not anothersite I hasten to add ) and it can be rewarding but time consuming at times plus you tend to get the odd nutter.
Have fun

when will you learn to read the double-talk, fine print between the lines and learn to grasp and understand the intricacies of all the innuendoes, subtleties and finesses of all the loop-holes, qualifications and traps of pure misleading bulldung?

YES... you can say that now...but....when you are being theatened by a wolf, a man in green tights, a mythical creature with the head of a mathematician and the body of a sheep, a portly station master and a cartoon creature who keeps the world in his shirt pocket...you tend to gloss over the fine print....
Ps...they all had their ###### in a bag round their necks and they were all wearing "I love BigWill" t-shirts......it was an awful experience...
