Photographing photographers

As the tide was coming the visitors became the focal point of the visit rather than the steel figures. I used E3 with IS set to 1 with 50-200 swd and EC20 giving in effect 800mm lens and no tripod. Converted to B&W for more impact.

Great set of images, the second one is my favourite with the chap taking the photo with his trousers rolled up....very good capture...great in B/W too

Yes, I agree with the others. It's a good set but the second one is something special, you'd expect it to appear alongside a Bert Hardy.

Thanks for your comments, i did admire the gents determination to get the shot he wanted, he is in the image of the group huddle taking off his socks and shoes whilst others helped or took pictures themselves.

Thanks,

They are scaffold poles, i live at Happisburgh on the North Norfolk coast and they were used in the past to form a type of sea defence, it is a night time shot under full moon with longish exposure. John Gibbs did a feature a while back in AP on Happisburgh. The poles are a waste product from the building of Bacton gas site. The scarry thing is i remember it being built. What i mean is 15 years ago i would be standing on the cliff top!

Regards

David.

I really love the last shot! The second one is great too.. is there enough of the image left for playing with a crop I wonder (as it does make me wonder what it would look like in square format )

Yeah great stuff!!
