Porsche

I took this one last night at about midnight. The security gaurds watching me on cctv obviously didn't want me there because as soon as I took this shot they tuned off the lights just for that shop and left the rest of the retail park lit up.

This was my car a year ago. I had it for two years but then swapped it for a wife!
It's now owned by my best friend and I'm still insured on it so I get to use it when ever I want so it's not too sad.

Lovely car...looks like a 964?

This is my 911 (993) Cabriolet, ready for the summer if it remains!

Great pic. Perhaps you should have written "swag" on your camera bag?

I've gone right off porsches in the past couple of years. They were my fave sports car as a kid (right next to aston martin db5 and the batmobile) but Porsche have gotten lazy in the past 20 years with regards design.

No, not a 964. It's a 930. A 1981 3.0 911 SC (204BHP version).

Unfortunately the photo of your car isn't showing. Shame because I love the 993. The last of the air-cooled.
Ignore that, I just checked out your flickr site and saw 'Lola'. Lovely car! Please tell me you have a fully manual box in her and not a tiptronic job?

Thanks for your comments. I agree that Porsche are playing it safe with the design of the 911. But I absolutely love the current 997 version. The Caymen is an ugly car IMO and the Cayenne should never wear the Porsche badge but that's just my opinion because they are both still good cars.

That's the only downside (if there is one)...it is tiptronic. I would have prefered manual, but couldn't find a good one and got fed up waiting! I drive using the manual shift, but my wife likes the full auto drive, so i suppose it suits us both!
