I have decided to upgrade to a DSLR. I have owned a number of SLRs in the past but not Digi. I have decided to stick with Nikon but can't decide between the D80 or D60. I spend most of my time sailing and consequently my photogaphy is based around sailing and nice places, some of these photos are used in newspaper and magazine pieces. The cost diference between the two is not an issue. Anyone have any constructive commments on these two cameras to help me decide???

I should have added that I intend to use the 18-200 lens with either of the D80 or D60

If you are going to use the camera whilst on board, I'd suggest that you go for the D200. It's discontinued so the price is subject to discount and "negotiation". It is also a little weatherproofed (seals on all buttons, electrical connection points etc), whilst the D80 and D60 aren't.

Then look at the Sigma with OS. Apparently it's better than the Nikkor according to a WDC review recently.
And I'd second looking at a D200 (or if the saving on getting a Sigma 18-200 will alow, a D300) over a D60 or D80 as they are far more robust beasts.
