Well I recently submitted Module 2 and have been firing off some test shots for Module 3....
I got myself a tamron 90 macro lens recently and I've been having fun shooting bugs and various other bits and pieces close up, which sort of distracts from the modules but its good fun.
So whats everyone else up to? How are the modules going? Feel free to discuss any plans for modules, etc...

Hey Gary,
Things are going slowly this end. Got photos for Mod 2 but not really happy with any of them - so I think I'm going to re-take the white/black/grey shots. Same subject matter I think but just need to get better photos!!

What am I upto? Working out how to use an oldish medium format film camera. I`ve just got hold of an instruction manual - that helps. I`ll use digital for mod 3 due to the number of shots needed, but intend to submit some film based images later on. As for mod 3, there are endless options. I have selected subjects that I want to photograph anyway - I will use the course as a prompt to explore the subjects a little more. Chris

I just finished module 2 yesterday. It's now in the post. I am taking a bit too long to get the modules done so I intend to try and get module 3 done more quickly...
I havn't got any big ideas for the subjects i wish to take lots of photographs of for this module as yet though.

Thanks for the responses Graham, Paul, Chris and John. Good to know there are others out there (this part of the forum has been a little quiet as of late )
Interesting Chris. I hadn't really considered someone using a medium format film camera on the course, I guess I'm so used to seeing everything as digital nowadays... Good luck with that.
So anyway it sort of sounds like we're all around the same area on the course. I look forward to seeing everyone's submissions.
All the best

Hi Gary,
I think I'm just about ready to get out there are click away again. I've done some shots over the past couple weeks but nothing interesting really.
Still looking for my last two shots for module one. Wish I had not binned my original shots now , hopefully portrait/building and panoramic/portrait a view from where I live. I'm only a few minutes from the beach, should never be stuck for shots eh.
Now that the lovely sunshine is here, we shall all hopefully be more inspired
I've a few days left before I go back to work, best get my boots on then.
Cheers Ormina

Have to admit to being very lazy the last few months with my photography. Have taken plenty of shots, but not concentrated on the course for some reason. Got a few shots for module 2, but am not happy with them, so the hunt is on for better subjects! Hoping to crack on and get modules 2 & 3 in together so I don't feel so guilty!!!!

Well the good weather finally appears to be with us Ormina and Sean so I guess you have no excuse now not to go out and get those final shots... 8) Good luck with that.
Hi Partyblonde105 if you need any help just post on the forum and I'm sure either someone on the course or any of the other forum users will chip in and help where they can.

I can always find an excuse !! Unfortunately work always gets in the way of fun - no pics for me for the next 5 weeks as I am swanning around off the coast of Angola before heading off to avoid Nigerian pirates for a few weeks... Hope the rest of you get time to get out and be creative though! Sean

business rather then pleasure Sean...?
Take your camera and ask the pirates to pose with skull and crossbone flag and a parrot on their shoulder. I'm sure the image will fit neatly into one of the modules....
Hope you have a good time and don't fall into any bother.

Work unfortunately - trying to find oil in the vain hope of keeping the cost of diesel down
Like your idea of a photo - better charge the batteries on my compact just in case I see Capt Jack Sparrow!

Hi All,
Having had the course for over 6 weeks, I decided was about time to submit module 1. Due to personal circumstances, I have not put in as much thought to it as I would have liked. Even though I am not expecting good marks for this one, I have found it to be an interesting learning experience, in the way that the self assessment makes you look at the images in more detail than I would previously have done. Hopefully, it will be on to module two when the first one somes back with the eagerly awaited comments

Hi Folks, Just checking the forum and notice its pretty quiet here. I guess that means everyone is effortlessly scything their way through the modules. Are people finding the course too easy and have little need to ask for help or have people found it too difficult and quit? I`m still doing the course – is there anyone else?? Chris

I have just finished module 2. Did not take as much time over it as I should have done, so not too happy at the moment. I am looking forward to the comments, but the marks will be low. I wouldn't say the course was easy or hard, but it does make you think alot especially when writing the self assessment and realising too late you should have tried something different. Must say I am enjoying it so far. I would like to start new topics on this forum but only have permissions to reply to topics. I have emailed admin but as yet have had no response

Ah! another human being.... You are of course correct - the hard part of the course is the thinking! BUT - It should also be the fun part - no one can stop you thinking - apart from yourself! So when you reckon you have an idea for a task, have a rest...then try thinking again - you never know what you might come up with... Chris

Hi everyone,
I'm also having this problem, not being able to post a new topic just replying to existing ones. I was hoping to introduce myself (being one of the newbies to the course) but haven't been able to yet.
