This months theme is " Sky "
Did you look up recently?
The sky is constantly changing with colours and clouds shifting with the wind and the passage of the earth around the sun. There are wonderful shapes, patterns and drama as well as calming and soothing softness. It's massive. Make it in to a picture. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
1. PLEASE DO NOT POST IMAGES until you have read the Posting Images – Maximum Sizes etc sticky on this forum. 2. Images must not exceed 600 pixels x 600 pixels
3. File sizes must be under 100kb (102,400 bytes)
IMAGES THAT DON’T CONFORM TO THESE RULES WILL BE DELETED! Do not post TWICE in the comp - ask a moderator to correct or alter your original entry if you are having a problem.
4. Images must be embedded in this thread (click on reply in this post). - Note: Images are judged only on the size embedded in this thread.
5. Images must have a suitable title in the subject line.
7. No links please - embed only! (Technical details should be kept to a minimum)
8. One entry only per person is allowed. If you need to change it, please contact a moderator with new URL and reason why. Note: bear in mind that changes to the monthly comp are not continuous and should be used only as a last resort.
If you want comments on your work, or you want to comment on other members work, please post in the Comments thread provided.
Good luck!
PS. If you're new to embedding images in forums and you're having problems, don't forget you have approx. ONE HOUR to try something else - if at the end of that time your still having a problem, contact a moderator.
PPS. If you need help with resizing images etc, then PM a moderator with details of the image manipulation program you're using (if you have one) and they’ll get back to you a.s.a.p. Note: there are free programs you can use in the ‘Posting Images – Maximum Sizes etc’ sticky.

Lightning strike off the coast of Cuba at Guardalavaca. Taken in August 2004 on Fuji Velvia 50, which I guess accounts for the rather wild colours. The storm was moving quickly a mile or so out to sea and each frame was a guess as to where the next bolt might hit. This was the best of an entire roll and is a crop from a landscape shot. Shot at ISO 50, f/4, exposure was probably 30 seconds or so waiting for a bolt to come along.
Cheers, Neil
