Should I be worried about my 7D?
      #631529 - 21/03/2008 22:17

After a recent scare of apparent hot and stuck pixels on my 7D's CCD at speeds of 1/30 and slower, I took a black frame picture (but I only realised I had set it to ISO1600 later and I don't have it with me at the moment to take another shot) at 3s F22 and it shows not only some hot pixels (the ones I know the locations) as also some stuck pixels and more than what I expected, in fact the number seemed to have increased. I don't notice any above 1/30 which where most of my shooting is but every now and then I like to do some arty farty stuff with slower shutter speeds. I thought the problem was gone as the 7D remaps bad pixels once a month, but this seems that it is not happening. I also noticed that when I switch NR on, the "Processing" message that comes after a long exposure is not showing up. Does this mean the processor is not doing its work? Do I need to send it for repair? Is the fat lady singing or gone on a diet?

Here's the image

Any thoughts?
