If you won an all expenses paid trip to anywhere in the world to take photos for a fortnight where would you go (and why)
I think my choice would be the Amboseli National Reserve in Kenya (when the country settles down politically)
Amboseli rather than any other Kenyan safari park because its famous for elephant herds and on a clear day you can see Mount Kilimanjaro.

Antarctica. Still more or less uninfested by mass tourism, and everyone I know who's been there has fallen in love with the place.

The Galapagos is small enough to count, but Australia is as large as Europe and I'd much rather photograph the greater variety or lanscapes, peoples, wildlife and architecture to be found here than in Australia.
In my travels Iceland and Japan stick in the mind photographically and I'd have to say that Japan's clash of urban v rural edges it for me. I've been lucky enough to go there twice and I'd go back there like a shot.

Japan (Hokkaido in particular), Patagonia, Iceland and South Africa/Lesotho would all be jostling for my choice. I have lived in Japan and South Africa, and Iceland's not all that far away, so I'd probably plump for Patagonia.

I'm sure if we all chip in we could muster enough for a one way flight for you!!
Having said that, I think I might be a bit too jealous to actually let you go.

Got to be New Zealand. A Fortnight would be enough for me to get lost, then I could stay for a bit longer
