I know - I'm only kidding. Basically what we'd like is for people to give enough information to put the shot in reasonable context.
For example, we don't need precise grid references for location, but things like, 'at home, in my kitchen', 'on the south downs', 'Sheffield city centre', etc. all fit the bill.

Yes, I think the reasonable context is very important. Some don't need it - shots of the weather, for example, speak for themselves. But mostly that little bit of context changes the project from interesting to fascinating for me. And it's also rather liberating not having to worry about technical issues too much - my shot tells a very simple story, but I wouldn't have taken it for any other reason, as there was no way of avoiding the burned-out sky at that time. For this project, it didn't matter, and I rather like that every now and then.

I recognise that place. Is that not the village at the bottom of the hill on the road to Blakey Ridge? I was there last Easter with some friends. We stayed at The Lion on Blakey Ridge, did some great walking, drank lots of good beer etc.

Yep, sounds like it. I passed the Lion Inn and was tempted to call in for a shandy but changed my mind! Actually, whilst taking that shot I was beeped at twice, once by a guy in a white van and once by a car full of lads! I was actually crouched down and could be seen from the other end of the road and I wonder if the drivers thought I was holding a speed gun to my eye

Pretty much - though you might want to put in a translation for the non-Scots of the forum. ;-) Details of cakes consumed in said lunchtime would be okay too, though not essential. :-)
