My latest film from the M6 has two frames in which the shutter seems to have changed speed halfway across and there is clearly a dark side and light side to the negative. the shutter seems OK when I test fire it but I don't know how long it is since it was checked and lubricated, maybe never. I suspect this is what is needed.
Does sound like it. If there's uneveness of exposure across the frame, it's a sure sign. Worth taking a roll of white walls at different shutter speeds to check for density.
