BenChubbster - fantastic shot!

Most excellent pic dude.
Nice effect, works well.

I think the overall standard is excellent, going to be tough keeping up with everyone else over the months - but I bet it will be enjoyable non the less.

Thanks chaps

Went out for a walk yesterday with the dogs at Wimpole Hall park (local NT property) and took the first set of IR pictures this year. I think it will be the last for a little while looking at the weather forecast

What amazes me is people's imagination and interpretation of the brief

I haven't really taken much notice of the monthly competition section before but I've really enjoyed looking through all of these. David's (Hotblack) picture made me laugh the most, it isn't an idea that I would have ever come up with and shows great vision IMHO.

I'll agree, David's is my choice so far but we have new judge so we'll have to see whether he'll continue with Garry's "Would I hang it on my wall" philosophy.

I've got my new gigs so I just have to find the time to set up and shoot now. Although if I do there may be some on this forum who might be surprised/disappointed to find out that I'm not red, boasting horns and a goatee and carry a trident with me at most times.

I think we have two judges... Mr Demolder and Mr Jacobs.

Why would anyone want to hang that on their wall. Jeez!!! I certainly wouldn't.

I've got a decent one of you, too - that was my second choice as an entry - if only there had been a reflection of me in your lens.

Yes, but more people on here know what I look like so they'd go "Why is Nick entering a photo of Fen?"

Nick - are you a shadowy reflection just making an appearance in the window bottom left of your shot? That's the only place I can vaguely see there might be something.

Yes. However I am slightly unsure. Never having met or seen Nick I can't be certain but that shot has an uncanny resemblance to our esteemed Tharg (whom I have to admit to also never meeting but have seen photos of), and also I'm bu**ered if I know how else it could be a 'self-portrait' (other than employing a tripod, of course )

Oh! and having an idea of what you lot were up to on Saturday is, in iteslf, a clue.
