I'll be off visiting relatives from Friday so as there's only a few more days to go, I hope you all a happy time at Christmas and best wishes for 2008. Lisa.

Merry Xmas all... have a good one!

Hi Lisa and everyone plugging away on this course!
2008 is the year that I must get my backside into gear and get cracking with this course!
Just finished module 5 and with my 2 years up in September, I am going to have my work cut out getting this all done!
Where is everyone else up to that started in 2006?

I was wondering why I've had quite a rash of final modules in the last month or two. They're fun to mark as I'm never quite sure what to expect and so far I am impressed,

I'm glad you're happy in your work Garry! Lisa.
PS I enjoyed watching your DVDs - I thought the way you straightened 'the horizon' or whatever using the crop tool is a lot easier than the method in mod 7.

Hi Matt,
I'm on mod 8 and have taken all the pics except 'the portrait'. I've got to persuade the lady at work who said that I could take her photo in a moment of rashness , that she really meant it. Lisa.

Hi Lisa, Happy New Year. Strange isn`t it - now I`ve finished Mod 10, I feel I`ve only just started to really get to grips with photography! - -it reminds me of when I passed my driving test - I only really learned to drive from that point on - and I`m still learning! I took masses of photos over the hoilidays, continuous grey skies so loads of mono images. I feel I have so much more control over what I`m doing now, I know what I want and sometimes I get it, though the mistakes often turn out to be the best surprises. There are no local photo courses, so I`m looking for someone who might provide some one to one help to help take me further on. If not, it may well be another AP course though I am still a little unsure which is the most appropriate for me.... Chris

Hi Chris, and a happy new year to every one.
As to the next AP course, why not talk to your tutor from this course. They will know how you did, and at what stage you are at now. I am sure they would point you in the right direction. If I ever get to the end of this one, that's what I will do.

Hi Les,
I think I'm going to do the same as you. When I get nearer to 'THE END' of this course I'll ask Barney what he thinks the best AP course is to do next. Lisa.

Hi Chris,
you're free from having to take photos for the course now - weren't you always thinking before 'what do I need to take for mod?' Perhaps you need a break and time to do you own thing for a bit? Lisa.
PS Have you got the cow muck off your camera yet?

Good suggestions - lets see how I got on with Mod 10 first. I wish I had waited a few weeks before sending it as I now have a much betters set of prints. Still I was able to do my own thing over the holidays - so Lisa your absolutely correct in needing some free time. Well my camera is ok but the zoom lens feels a bit "crunchy". Not sure it was worth the spuds! I might have found a niche with the cows - I photographed some more at the weekend - for another farmer who had seen the previous images. Still muddy and cold but I stayed on my feet this time. Chris

So what are you getting for this batch of cows Chris? - a bag of carrots? With any luck you may never have to buy another vegetable. Lisa.

Hi Lisa, I can only dream of a bag of carrots!! When you get to know farmers, you realise that; the weather is always wrong, the markets are always against them, they never have any money....Actually it can be a tough life, especially for the small farms where I live - we had driving sleet and hail at 06.30 this morning. So a drink in the pub is perfect for me! Chris
