As part of a feature in our Christmas issue we're asking readers which photographic item you'd most like for Christmas. It could be a camera, a lens or accessory. It could be something you have a realistic chance of getting, or expect to get, or something more aspirational that you'd only ask for from a lottery winning uncle. Please post your suggestions below.

Nothing too drastic... some one to one sessions with various photographers, Messrs Waite and Cornish for some landscape tuition, Annie Liebovitz for portraits. Patrick Eager for cricket.

Hmm, a Nikon D200 with Nikon 180mm F2.8 AF-D, and Nikon 24mm F2.8 AF-D would be an ideal gift...
But could settle for some Oxfam Goat(s)....
P.S. Had asked for Sandisk Extreme III CF card(s) for the Nikon D100 that I am planning to take with me to China next year.

Dear Father Christmas, I have been a (fairly) good boy all year and this Christmas I would like the Nikon D3 - Keira Knightley limtied edition DSLR kit.
It's a very limited edition version, well in fact there's only one of them, and this D3 comes with your very own Keira Knightley to hold you lens cap, reflector, camera bag or to just be generally useful during a photo shoot.
I'd have to get this as a present from Father Christmas, because it would be hard enough justifying the purchase of a normal D3 to my wife, let alone one with a built in Keira!
PS If that Benchista fellow reckons you can get a Canon Keira Knightley kit for him, he's just plain wrong, what he really means is the Canon Vanessa Feltz kit, perfect for those wanting poor handling and cumbersome bodies!!

I quite fancy the Angelina Jolie edition which has the added benefit that, if anyone tried to steal it, she'd go into Lara Croft mode and beat the c*** out of them!

New home in Cornwall with no mortgage or bills to pay for the rest of my life 2nd home in either the Lake District or the Highlands, ditto on mortgage and bills. Hasselblad H3D Leica M7
More realistically, but improbable: Ultra-wide MF lens to fit K or KA bayonet (for my K10d)

I'd like the certain knowledge that film will be widely available in a range of emulsions for the rest of my life.

For me not to be working 12 hour nights on the 24th, 25th and 26th of December please! I would very much like to spend a whole day locked up in doors with just the wife and our and dog, door bell and phones disconnected. To have time to arrange and also have time to see all our families and friends, would be wonderful.

Well, if there's a D3KK kit, I'll have a 24 hour version - Keira K and Tess Daley.
In the real world though I would be liking a Bigma please (NAF) and a BIG monitor (better have a new, faster PC to match as well) and an underwater casing for a D70 or a D200 (unless that D3's in the post...). A Zigview would be nice, as would a wireless remote for a D200. Apart from that (and some talent), I'm happy with what I've got.

Any of these would do nicely...
Leica M6 Panda with 50mm and 80mm lenses. A Billingham bag. Elinchrom D-Lite 2 head 400w kit. 120mm macro lens for Hasselblad 500 CM. 105mm micro Nikkor.
And a partridge in a pear tree.

The main problem with the Keira Knightley limtied edition DSLR is that she's so skinny that she doesn't have the strength to hold a lens cap!
And as for the reflector, last time she held one of them in a strong wind she had to be tethered!!!

I'd like a Benbo tripod. The tripod I have has a centre piece that just goes vertically up and down so the extra versatility of a Benbo looks good.
I'd also like an SLR that's completely immune to dust.

Benbo's are excellent Alan.
I've had one for .... well, a long time.
They can be a bit 'ARRRGGGGHHHH' at first when you're trying to get used to how they work. But I find it perfect for nature and macro work.
Also good for doing table-top photography

Yeah, I'm tempted to get myself one as I've been naughty this year and I'm convinced that Santa will pass me by.
My local dealer doesn't stock them though so it'll mean a trip to Newcastle to see one in the metal. I could always just order one of the internet but I think I'd like o have a play first. My current tripod is nice enough but I find sometimes that I can't get the position I want.

Dear all,
Thanks for your Christmas wish lists! Next we just need a head and shoulder shot of yourselves to help illustrate the feature. Can you please send them to darren_crush@ipcmedia.com.
Hope this is ok.
Many thanks, Darren

I have placed an order with Santa for a Manfrotto 410 geared head. My financial controller has authorised the finances, so it should be coming on the sleigh soon, via WarehouseExpress.
