I didn't take many pics in Aug - too busy trying to get jobs done in the garden. The only one that is anywhere near decent is this pic of one of my agapanthus which I took for mod 5.
how have you all done for pics this past month?
Lisa.

Lovely picture, Lisa. Do you do much gardening then? I just keep to looking after the grass, if it gets long it needs a cut. That's my complete knowledge of gardening. O'h, and if it goes brown it needs watering.

Yes les I'm a keen gardener (when I have time) and tend to get obsessed with various different species. For example I have about 30 different clematis, old fashioned roses, various hosta and so on. I had a go at keeping orchids but didn't get one very well with them. Lisa.

Hmmm...! Didn't take any suitable photo's last month.
I'll have to post a favorite from early this month instead...
It's a stainless steel spud masher taken using the tungsten setting in diffused daylight. The pink background is a blanket.
It was taken for mod 5 but not used. The levels/curves adjustment is a tad heavy, but I like it that way!

We stayed here for a couple of nights while touring in France during August.
Typical French accommodation!

However do you think of these things Chris??? That's really good - the contrast between the blue and the pink is very eyecatching. Lisa.

Thanks Lisa. I was in a bit of a rut, with no idea what subject matter to use for my last shot for part C when I read Angela Nicholson's test of the Fujifilm FinePix S5700 in the 18 August issue. She used a pic of a masher to illustrate the camera's white balance settings and I thought "Hmmm... we have some utensils like that!"
It took a couple of weeks for the idea to gel and to find the time (I was caught more than once staring intently at said utensils - funny looks from Mrs APchris and the kids thought I'd finally flipped!) then one morning I emptied the kitchen drawer and fitted the macro attatchment to the camera, much to the amusement of my son who was the only one up at the time
Sorted!!

I've been looking at hay bales too Mark - most of them seem to have black coats on round here. Lisa.
