Whilst the LCD display seems to work OK I can't now take any photos as it doesn't seem to connect with the swivel lens or flash. Is a repair economical given its age? Does anyone know where I can get it repaired as local shops no longer seem to offer repairs. I live in Leeds
I think you'll be extremely lucky to find anyone to repair this as Kyocera have withdrawn from the photographic business (other than making cameras for mobile phones.) It might be worth phoning one of the repairers who advertise at the back of AP. I think some of the repair staff in Kyocera's Reading premises may have continued as an independent repairs company but I'm not sure of the name.
Maybe if it's a mechanical problem it can be put right, but usually the cost of repairing compact type cameras (whether film or digital) far exceeds their value. In the case of this brand, spare parts may well have disappeared.
